VISIONS BADMINTON ACADEMY

Sue Williams writes... Thank you so much for supporting us this year with our inclusive badminton sessions. These sessions run on a Sunday and are for all school children in the East Devon area. For some of these players it is the only club outside of school that they can access due to the demands of the individual players. We have a range of abilities and ages, the players all work on an individual basis or in small groups. During the session they work on hand eye coordination, movement and rackets skills and exercises that will help with their specific disabilities, some have exercises from their physiotherapist while other players work on wheel chair movement skills. We have young helpers from our local community college who assist the players and also David Follett who plays wheel chair Badminton for England and Dee Fernley Weiner who this year went to the Special Olympic Games as coaches alongside myself and Sharon. Without your help we would really struggle to run these sessions so your support is very much appreciated. Many thanks from all the coaches and players.
