2017 SUCCESS STORIES

IN 2017 WE HAVE HELPED THE FOLLOWING: The St. Ives (Bingley) Riding for the Disabled Bedford and District Handicapped Riding Association Wimbledon Racquets & Fitness Club to purchase a ramp allowing wheelchair players easy access to the Badminton Courts. We continue to support Alex Lane in his quest to become the top Badminton player in England Support for Dee Weiner and John Hooper to attend the Special Olympics in Sheffield We again supported Jamie Jessup to attend the World Transplant Games in Malaga, Spain, where he won three medals. Silver in Mens’ Doubles; Bronze in Mens’ Singles and Bronze in Mixed. A report will appear shortly. We continue to support the Talent Spotting group at WR&FC with special coaching from qualified Badminton England coaches The Oak Lodge School for the Deaf in Balham, South London. 27th August, 2017 we are sponsoring a Badminton match between England Youth and Past Masters at the National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes, helping the young players test their skills against their peers. Spectators are welcome, free entry from 10.30am – 4pm. 9-10 September, 2017 again we are the main sponsors of the U19 Wimbledon Open Badminton Tournament. Spectators are welcome, free entry.
