The Anders Foundation, together with Cares4Kids support the Talent Spotting sessions for young people from 8 – 18 years with disabilities. We are always looking for more participants and please contact The Anders Foundation if you wish to join us at the Wimbledon Racquets & Fitness Club, SW19. Below are a stories written by some of those taking part: TEMI JOHNSON WRITES I like learning new skills in Badminton, playing with my friends and meeting new people EMMA STONER WRITES The extra sessions have really improved my Badminton this year. My technique is much better and I am definitely fitter. I have played in my first tournaments; I was runner up in the Surrey U11B Girls and played in all 3 categories in the Surrey Parabadminton tournament. I have met some of the England Parabadminton players and I would love to play for England one day. THOMAS VOGT WRITES Lorraine’s sessions has dramatically improved my individual performance in Badminton and has given me the necessary tools to improve on as well. The sessions are also a great social time too I feel that everyone is always welcoming and supportive of each other, I have also noticed huge improvement across the board from all of participants. Overall I am very grateful for this opportunity to practice and improve my Badminton, and in particular being able to teach me to maintain my cool whilst playing Badminton and how to co-operate well with a huge variety of individuals. OSCAR WARR WRITES I have really improved with these sessions. My fitness has gone up and I feel more agile and have more movement on the court. I feel better for it. My drop shot has improved and I am better able to get the shuttlecock to the back of the court when I'm standing sideways. I really appreciate the one to one coaching and feel very lucky.
